Come at me, tumblr

Hello!
Today was a really awesome day with Bahar. She came to my place and we had lots of fun and we did lots of cool stuff. Check it out:
oh hay gurl

These were later burnt.

Radishessss :D

Amazing tumblr hair flick
We also went swimming in the lake, we don't know exactly what temperature was in the water, but we're estimating about 16 degrees... Not too cold to go in, but definitely cold enough to get out quicker than quick. Bahar the old lady had to be pushed in. Lol. Skateboarding and rollerblading was also done, it was very enjoyable indeded. In conclusion, a pretty fantastic day. Thank you Bahar :3

Tomorrow I am going into town with Bahar as well and I am going to buy hair colour. I am dyeing my hair baby pink! I have been wanting to do it for quite some time and decided to do it in time for summer :D

The Fikaförening hosted a cake competition yesterday, and it was just great. Everyone's cakes looked exquisite and the cakes were delicious. SO DELICIOUS. There were a few highlights, that I could have eaten for the rest of my life. Applause for those talented cake-bakers.

Have a fantastic summery weekend.

Radishes and BBQ night

Hello!
I haven't updated in a looong time. I'm sorry. I hope you don't hate me. So as the title may suggest, my radishes have started sprouting! I am very pleased. Very very pleased. There aren't any edible radishes yet but I hope to get some by midsummer. :)

Tonight is also the first barbeque night of the year. We are making shrimp and beef and veggies and it's going to be super delicious. My mouth is already watering..!

Then we have Läroverksfejden. The annual feud between the four schools in central Stockholm, of which, of course, Kungsholmen is the best. Hey, we're already in the lead, and have dedicated students ploughing through the minicompetitions. We're collecting points like our lives depended on it.

My favourite song at the moment... What The Hell by Avril Lavigne. Terribly catchy and addictive. Add Seventeen to the list as well. Omg.

Time for me to do some more schoolwork now, this was written in one of my many and frequent breaks and now I'm going to meet my chemistry group on Skype.

Gardening like a pro

Hola blågen!
This weekend I found a new hobby. Since we moved into this house, I knew I wanted a vegetable patch - and voilá! My dad and I built one and I've planted radishes, carrots and sweet peas. Later I'll also plant pumpkins, how awesome would it be to have your own pumpkims for Halloween?! :D The veggie garden is a lot of work but a lot of fun. I've been very lucky with the weather this weekend, it's been absolutely amazing and a pleasure to work outside. We've also cleared the "woodsy" corner of our garden, so now it's got an super cool path leading down to the street, and we've got lights that look like toadstools :D I'm just insanely excited for this whole garden thing. It's going to be incredible!

I also made mazariner, after I asked my dad what to make and he requested them. They were easier than I thought, and I am very pleased with the result! Delicious.
They were round, since I made them in my muffin pan hahah

Fika for one
Luxemburg was very nice also. Met my family, did some shopping, ate good food. I also fell sick (not nice) and am still recovering, but on the whole it was a very pleasant week!

Happy Easter! Looking forward to going back to school tomorrow.

Creeping in Uppsala

Hello!
I'm just back from the lovely little town of Uppsala and I'm tired as hell. Just unpacking and then repacking for Luxemburg. I'm hoping to get a good night's sleep tonight, or else I feel sorry for my mum tomorrow!

Here are a few pictures from the past two days. We had a blast! Enjoy the awesomeness of Johanna and Hanan, two of my favourite people in the world :D
Newly arrived. Starving and waiting for our quesadillas! (Yes, local specialty of Uppsala)

Outside Domkyrkan. It was a windy day!

Museum Gustavianum
Funny story about Museum Gustavianum actually. When we were there the first day, there was a shooting for a movie, so we didn't get to see the Anatomical Theatre, where they used to cut up dead people in front of an audience. Kind of creepy, I know, but anyway; we didn't get to see that because of the movie recording session, and we came back the day after, explained our situation and got let in for free. So we practically got two visits for the price of one! Which was nice. Here's a picture from the actual theatre.

So dead people have lied on that table, being dissected...

We found this lil' fella outside. Thought it was kinda funny. Is this a thing?

I'll see if I can get her to send me the matching picture!

Goodbye Uppsala!
So that was my very tiring but very fun weekend in Uppsala! I will not be bringing my camera to Luxemburg, but I may be blogging from my grandma's computer. Have an awesome Easter break, I'll see you soon!

PÅSKLOV

Finally Easter break!
It feels like we've just come back from sports break, but when you think about it, it' actually been a while. Time for some well-deserved rest :) For my part, this break will be very animated and exciting - today I leave for Uppsala, and on Monday my madre and I are visiting grandma in Luxemburg! So stoked :D

Yesterday we had the first meeting with the Fikaförening... Expect greatness to happen, this year is going to be awesome! I can't spoil anything now, but you'll see... :o

I met Johanna and Hanan this Thursday to plan our Uppsala trip (and we made brownies), and we are going to do all sorts of fun (and kind of nerdy ;P) stuff. I'm bringing my camera so I'll be bombing you with pictures when I get back!

Time for me to go and practice some piano now, I'll see you guys on Sunday evening/Monday morning!

I wish you a Happy Easter.

Study day

Hello!
Sitting in Bahar's apartment studying. We have a day off school today ("grey day") and we thought it would be a good idea to study together. Which it was. We have been most productive, studying math, chemistry, Spanish, and baking cookies too. Looks promising for an afternoon of efficiency :)

The weekend was spent sleeping over at Elin's place (baking key lime pies) and running in the rain. It feels so dramatic to be alone on the path in the woods with the water making your jacket stick to your skin. Like in a movie. And really, really satisfying. Aaaaah!

Only three days left until Johanna, Hanan and I go to Uppsala, and after that, Luxembourg!

Have an awesome week.

Oxford flats and busy life

Hello!
So I just recently discovered Pinterest. If you like looking att pretty things and delicious-looking food, go there. It is the Taj Mahal of all things fashion, crafts, baking, fitspo, you name it. You don't know what you're missing. www.pinterest.com is the website! LOVELOVELOVE (okay I may be a little bit obsessed.)

Now, moment of truth: my Oxford flats arrived yesterday! I wore them today, and my feet are slightly sore, but that's always a thing with new shoes. I just have to walk into them and make sure that they get some nice wear! I took some photos, tried to make it look somewhat professional with the background and such, hihihi that was fun. Anyway, here they are!
Yaay so pretty

I especially like this picture

The pearl necklace just makes it more interesting, I think
Otherwise I'm quite busy at the moment, a lot of work and various events and I'm not sleeping too much, but it really doesn't bother me because I love what I do.
Goodnight!

Knowing how to fix a bike is a useful life skill

Hello!
Today you will be pleased to find that I have a lot to write about! After piano this morning, me and my mum took a trip (by bike! :D) to our local thrift store. We shopped around there for a while, I tried ten pieces of clothing and came out with two, and we had a peek around the other little shops and small enterprises in the area. We figured it must be pretty difficult to have a shop in that little village since it's quite far from anything of importance and few people know about it. Anyway, I bought a turtleneck top (which is really strange since I generally hate turtlenecks, but this one somehow appealed to me very much) and a polka-dotted t-shirt. What can I say? I just love polka dots.
The dots are really small, you can barely see them on the pic

I'm not quite sure how I'll pull this one off yet, but I'll find a way

Seeing as spring is now officially here, and we have two hungry guinea pigs, we just had to let them out on the lawn. The grass is not as lush and green as it is at the peak of summer, but there was still something to eat (yum yum) and the little piggies seemed to thoroughly enjoy some fresh air after the winter.
I came running with the camera just as they were being taken indoors again. Here is Loppan. She is very fluffy.

And this is Klara. She is a bit shyer than Loppan, but nonetheless a sweet pea.
I was in the mood for baking (as always..?), but didn't feel like making anything too heavy. I wanted something light and summery and so decided to make raw-food cookies with apple, raisins and almonds. Raw food is when you don't heat the food over 42 degrees celsius, it's vegan and (often) delicious. The fact that they can't be heated does however mean that it takes forever to cook in the oven (like eight hours), but as I'm impatient I usually take them out earlier and that works just as well.
This is what they look like
And, and, and... Guess who was elected as secretary for the Fika Association?! To be honest there wasn't a lot of competition (I was the only candidate, hahah), but I'm still proud of the fact that I dared to go up there and actually do it. I'm so pumped and excited for this coming year, greatness will go down! :)

To finish off, two pictures that I took today that I really like, because I love grass and blue skies.
If you're a guinea pig this must be delicious

Not a cloud in sight!

Waffles and secretaries

Hi!
So Tuesday was waffle day. Om nom nom. The name is sort of an internal joke in Swedish, but I really don't mind because it means I get to eat waffles. Bahar and I went to Solna Centrum and ate waffles. Then I went home and made waffles for my brothers. Not at all obsessed or anything. ;)

Tomorrow is the day for the elections in the Fika-association! I am running for secretary and I am super pumped because I have so many ideas for the association. If you happen to read this and go to Kungsholmen, come and vote for me :)

Apart from that, nothing in particular - just enjoying life and being fifteen.

Oxford flats and flowering trees

Good morning!
I am in love with our Monday sleep-ins. Such an awesome start to the week, words can't even explain.

I have been looking for a pair of Oxford flats for what feels like forever. I was browsing the internet yesterday, and thought tat maybe I'd search for them. AND I FOUND THEM. On www.houseoffraser.com I found the perfect pair of oxford flats, I've just sent my order and now they're on their way! I. Cannot. Contain. My. Exitement. It's like Christmas, hahah! I will probably wear them with anything and everything and they may never leave my feet. Tough life. I don't know how to screenshot on my computer unfortunately, so I can't show you what they look like right now, but they will definitely be seen here as soon as they arrive.

This weekend I finally finished my wall tree thingy! Since it's spring, I decided to put little flowers on the tree, and I thought that this could be varied according to the seasons, so for autumn I'll make the leaves red and orange, and for winter I'll leave just the bare branches with some snow. Here's what it looks like now!

Yaay so pretty

I am very pleased
I took some detailed pictures as well but they all turned out super blurry so I decided not to post them.
Here's to a sunny week!

The island is springing to life

Hello!
This week has been so nice. Super chill and practically only math homework (which, as a Natural Science student, is a given at any time during the term, so it almost doesn't count)! I got my school sweater yesterday, finally! The order was delayed so I have been waiting for a loong time. But it was worth it. So soft and warm and snuggly I can't even.

Alla KG upp och hoppa, hej, hej!
Currently reading Jane Eyre, after we in school read a book that had a lot of references to it. So I thought I'd read it to understand all the references, and I do. My mind is blown like every chapter when I realise what something really is!

I promised my friend I would bake her cookies for Monday (hi Mehnaz). Considering making peppermint chocolate chip cookies, because they are delicious (like any cookie? haha) and I wanted to make that.

I also have plans to finish my wall tree thing today or tomorrow. I just need to make some cute birds (I'll see if I can find a template online) and then it's done! (The procrastination is strong on this one... Heheh)

Only three weeks until Spring Break! Time goes so fast that it'll be summer in no time (fine by me)! It's also super nice running weather. Went out into the woods yesterday and it was warm and sunny and I ran a different path from the one I usually take, so I got to see a new part of the area.

I thought I'd share the view from my window on this beautiful spring day
Have a nice weekend. See you soon!
