If you write 3.14 backwards it looks like pie

Hello!
IT SNOWED YESTERDAY. I just had to put that out there. You thought it was spring and then BAM! Suddenly, wild snow storm appeared! But it looks like the weather will be nicer today! :)

Friday was 3.14 - pi(e) day! I came home late Friday, so I made a pie yesterday instead. It was amazebeans. Lemon meringue pie. It was enormous, so I had to call Johanna over to help me and my family eat it!

Last night I went to see Don Giovanni at the opera with my mum! It was incredible, I really appreciate the talent and hard work put into the performance. Bravo! It was so good I almost died.

I also went vintage "shopping" in my mum's wardrobe, and found a blue skirt, a pink skirt, and a grey knit cardigan. Thank you mum :)

Otherwise, today will be horse riding, studying and singing. See you soon!

Wednesday mornin'

Hi!
These past few days have been very busy, so I haven't been able to update as much as I would have liked. Anyway, school is going as per usual, apart from that it's elections season in the Student Union! Kind of cray cray but very fun.

I recently painted my nails, which actually is a thing for me since I don't often do it. The colour I used is Naughty Nautical from Essie,  I'll post a picture later!

I also recently recieved the catalog from La Redoute (clothes by post order)... And I'm like asdfghjkl because everything is just perfection. Especially, especially the Mademoiselle R collection. LIFE.

More than that there really isn't anything interesting going on, I'll see you guys soon!

Sun, muffins and DNA

Hi!
It is incredibly sunny and beautiful outside right now. I took a long walk home from piano this morning, gotta get that tan y'know ;) I also just finished a batch of almond muffins with white chocolate topping. Have a peek:

I'm kind of on a baking spree right now - I may upload something tomorrow as well, we'll see :) The rest of the afternoon will be spent studying (biology test Friday - everything I see can be connected somehow to protein synthesis or sugar-phosphate backbones) and recharging my batteries for the rest of the week! Thank God it's Friday!

Fridays for me are always the best day of the week - everyone is in a great mood and the weekend is just around the corner! Spring is also soon here, which makes it all the better. I came home today and had a crazy urge to bake cookies, so I was just about to make a single-lady cookie when my dad intervened and wanted me to make a whole batch. So here they are, standard chocolate chip cookies (but nonetheless delicious) :)

Trees and semlor

Good morning!
Just thought I'd throw out a quick blog post before getting ready for school. Yesterday was semmeldagen, a day where you eat a Swedish pastry called "semla" that is practically a wheat bun with almond paste and whipped cream. So me and my friend Bahar went to a super cosy café and had semlor and tea. Yum! :9

I'm also almost finished with the cardboard decal on my wall! I made this because I thought that the wall next to my window looked very empty, so I wanted to get crafty and make something to decorate it! Here's what it looks like right now, but I still have cute birds to add ;)

I'm afraid of skiing

Hi!
I'm just back from a skiing trip with my family in the Swedish mountains. The "fjäll" as we call it. It was really nice, and I actually really tried to get over my fear of skiing. It went quite well, I managed not to break a bone. I see it as an achievment every time. ;) Studying was also attempted (you can't say I didn't try), but I then finally resorted to watching soap operas on TV and eating chocolate from the nearby chocolate factory outlet. Om nom.

Some days I wake up, and I'm like, "I should start a blog."

Hi!
As you may or may not know, I'm Sofia, and, well, welcome to my blog :) This blog will consist mostly of fashion, baking, music, crafts and other miscellanea. I am a girl of few words and if you ever meet me in person you will notice that. I try to keep blabbering to a minimum and would rather say something short but with meaning. I am a person that will put enormous pressure on herself, but I am at the same time easy-going and relaxed when it comes to things I can't change. My favourite days are the ones I spend with my friends and family, with nice weather and good atmosphere. I have an odd addiction to cupcakes and 1940-60's fashion. I dream of studying veterinary medicine, and in my free time I'm a singer/songwriter. I am not quite there yet, but soon enough I will start to post my songs on Youtube. Just hang in there! I bake all the time, and it drives my family insane. Sorry, mum. But you get better by practicing ;)
